CAMPAIGNS ARE FALL-ING INTO PLACE
Now that the calendar has officially turned to Autumn, you can expect to see our various candidate lawn signs on front yards and staked at public intersections around East Whiteland and Charlestown.
Chester County Dems organized a lawn sign pick up on September 25 where Assistant Zone Leader Marsha filled up her car with statewide and countywide signs. She stopped for a pose with our two dynamic Chester County Court of Common Pleas candidates Alita Rovito and Tony Verwey.
The Court of Common Pleas of Chester County is a general jurisdiction trial court located in West Chester. There are currently 13 full-time Judges (including just three Democrats) and a Senior Judge. There are two openings this year. The Judges hear a wide spectrum of cases, including adult and juvenile criminal prosecutions, lawsuits involving money or property, divorce, custody disputes, child support issues, adoptions, and estates.
For more information on Alita’s credentials, visit her website: https://rovitoforjudge.com/
For more information on Tony’s qualifications, click on his: https://voteverwey.com/
Fifteen minutes after visiting with the Common Pleas judicial candidates, Marsha snapped this picture of her garage, aka Zone 13 campaign headquarters! Discover our entire countywide slate and their PAC, United Chesco, at https://unitedchesco.org/.
ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL IN OUR BACKYARD
Our neighbor Steph Gunderson hosted a Meet ‘n Greet for Great Valley school board candidates Andrea Rizzo and Samantha Jouin at her home on Sunday, September 19.
Neighbors inviting neighbors to learn for themselves why these two dynamic and qualified women are the best choice for our GVSD Region 1 vote is good old-fashioned campaigning. Joining them at the Gunderson home was Chester County’s equally dynamic and qualified candidate for Coroner, Sophia Garcia-Jackson, who is currently serving as our County’s Chief Deputy Coroner.
Pictured on the Gunderson family deck from left to right: Samantha Jouin, Sophia Garcia-Jackson and Andrea Rizzo.
Residents voting in EW 4, EW5, EW6 and Charlestown are eligible to vote for Samantha and Andrea for the two open slots for GV School Board Region 1.
ALL HANDS ON DECK AT SEPTEMBER ZONE MEETING
The September 13 zone meeting was like no other.
Our mission was to stuff 1344 door knob bags as we get ready to visit fellow Dem houses in late September.
The business meeting was abbreviated at the home of Assistant Zone Leader Marsha Peltz as volunteers spread out in every room to stuff flyers, campaign lit and of course, catch up with each other after months of zoom meetings.
The group heard from Magisterial District Judge candidate Lauren Holt and GV School Board candidate Andrea Rizzo.
Thank to you to all who pitched it, especially Brita Van Rossum, who designed our Vote By Mail flyer.
